A Congress party worker, Manoj Dubey, was murdered at Asalpha metro station by couple of unidentified men, allegedly, on a fuss over their bike collision. The 45-year old Congress party worker was, reportedly, stabbed at his stomach using a sword late night around 1.30am on Monday. Dubey was rushed to a hospital nearby where he lost his life during the treatment. As per sources, Dubey had a fuss with alleged BJP party worker, Suraj Singh, over a Facebook post where they both argued with each other. Dubey, as per sources, went to face Singh at his residence which resulted into an NC (Non-Cognizable) Complaint by Singh’s mother against Dubey at Ghatkopar police station. Dubey had also filed a cross-complaint against Singh at the same police station. “Singh’s mother filed the NC with Ghatkopar police then and Dubey filed a counter complaint,” said a police officer from Sakinaka police station, quoted TOI.

As per a close friend of Dubey, who asked to remain undisclosed, Dubey had gone to eat paan at Asalpha metro station and then he directly heard about the murder of his friend. He said the information that he is sharing is based on word of mouth shared by people with him but he is unaware of the whole incident that took place between Dubey and his counter parts. He described Dubey as a person who stood beside the needy and friends in need, and that he has lost a very close friend. Dubey has left behind his wife with two young kids who are under a shock over the whole incident.

As per Sakinaka police officer, Dubey’s bike had a head-on collision with Suraj Singh’s bike and this turned ugly with both of them fighting with each other. “The matter worsened at night when their bike hit head-on. The suspects who had kept sword in a small office situated behind Shiv Narayan at Asalpha used it to kill Dubey,” narrated the police officer to TOI. The police have detained few to gather as much information as possible which may help nab the culprits. Singh and his aide are on run from police and the challenge before Sakinaka police station is to nab them as the matter has gathered city wide attention. At present, police have registered the case of muder against the unidentified people who are hiding from law’s nab.
