Senior Congress Party Leader from Mumbai, Mohammad Arif (Naseem) Khan, turns 55, Gets Flooded with Wishes

Senior most Congress party leader from Mumbai, Mohammed Arif (Naseem) Khan, celebrated his 55th birthday on October 21. Currently serving as a Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Chandivali Vidhan Sabha constituency, Khan was greeted with hundreds of bouquets and the whole of his constituency turned into a celebration mode with numerous banners wishing him a prosperous and happy birthday erecting at every corner of the constituency.

One of the senior most Congress party leaders from Mumbai, Mohammed Arif (Naseem) Khan, celebrated his 55th birthday on October 21, with his party members and followers from Chandivali constituency of North Central part of Mumbai. Currently serving as a Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Chandivali Vidhan Sabha constituency, Khan was greeted with hundreds of bouquets and the whole of his constituency turned into a celebration mode with numerous banners wishing him a prosperous and happy birthday erecting at every corner of the constituency.

Popular as Naseem Bhai (Brother), he is one of the most followed politicians from Chandivali Vidhan Sabha constituency. His office in Jarimari of Mumbai’s Kurla got mobbed with his followers waiting to greet him on this special day of his life. Every year, Khan celebrates his birthday with his party workers, followers and loved ones at his Jarimari office. With several cakes cut, bouquets gifted and hundreds of thousands of hands waiting to shake hands with the MLA, Khan’s birthday is nothing less than a festival in his constituency.

Naseem Bhai, as he is called by his followers, has been winning the throne of Chandivali Vidhan Sabha since 2009 as MLA, before which he was winning the seat of Kurla Vidhan Sabha since 1999. He has served as Guardian Minister, Textile Minister and Minority Minister from Maharashtra Cabinet Ministry from 2009 till 2014. Last month, after veteran Congress party leader and former Member of Parliament (MP) from Mumbai North Central constituency where Khan represents as an MLA, Priya Dutt, was dethroned from her secretarial role in All India Congress Committee (AICC), Khan was, as per sources, leading parallelly with star poll campaigner, Nagma, to contest as MP from Dutt’s constituency. However, no decision is yet taken in terms of nomination from Dutt’s constituency.
