A march was organized by Sakal Hindu Samaj, on Sunday, Jul 24, in Mumbai against the recent incidents of attack on Hindus for expressing their views in support of Nupur Sharma. The march was joined by a huge crowd of Hindus, many with Tripundra and dressed in saffron. While a lot of unknown faces joined the march, some included the list of local politicians like corporators and the local Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA), Dilip Lande.

The crowd in the rally was seen holding placards which expressed the demand to award death penalty to the killers of Kanhaiyalal Teli who was allegedly murdered in Rajasthan’s Udaipur on Jun 28, 2022 that shook the entire nation. The march also demanded arrests of “Jihadi” extremists who are disturbing the environment by their extremist Islamic ideology. The procession was carried out in a very peaceful manner in the presence of police officials who seemed to be on alert while the crowd passed through muslim-dominated areas between Asalpha and Sakinaka metro station.

The organizers of the march seemed to have control over the crowd gathered in the march and ensured that the cooperation is extended to the police officials present there for their protection and to prevent any untoward incidents. The group of media officials also remained present at the spot.
