Lenovo Z5 with Snapdragon 636 Chipset and Bezel-less Design Launched: Price and Specifications

The smartphone is unveiled at a price of CNY 1,399 (Approx. INR 14,700) for it's 6GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage capacity variant. The other variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage is priced CNY 1,799 (Approx. INR 18,900). The smartphone will go on sale in China from June 12, 10am onwards but is available for pre-order.

So after a leak of a pic of Lenovo L78011 a couple of days back, the Chinese multinational tech brand, Lenovo, has unveiled Lenovo Z5, Lenovo A5 and Lenovo K5 Note at an event in Beijing. Out of all the 3 smartphones launched on Tuesday, we chose Lenovo Z5 to talk about as it highlights iPhone X like Notch, Bezel-less design, vertically aligned dual lens camera with AI Technology, Snapdragon 636 SoC and 3,300mAh battery. The smartphone is unveiled at a price of CNY 1,399 (Approx. INR 14,700) for it’s 6GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage capacity variant. The other variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage is priced CNY 1,799 (Approx. INR 18,900). The smartphone will go on sale in China from June 12, 10am onwards but is available for pre-order. The Lenovo Z5 sports a 6.2-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with screen resolution of 1080×2246 pixel and pixel density of 402ppi. The display comes with 18.7:9 aspect ratio, with 90% screen-to-body ratio and 2.5D curved glass design. As for the lens, the smartphone sports a vertically aligned dual lens camera featuring 16-megapixel primary sensor and 8-megapixel secondary sensor. The camera supports HDR+, 4K support, AI Technology and it does have an LED flash for the low light photography experience. At the front, it bears an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture which also supports AI Technology and full-HD video recording.

The smartphone runs ZUI 3.9 based on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box OS. It is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC clocked at up to 1.8GHz, paired with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM. It features 64GB/128GB inbuilt storage capacity, expandable to up to 256GB using a MicroSD card. When it comes to battery, as mentioned earlier, Lenovo Z5 packs 3,300mAh battery with compatibility with fast charging.

On the connectivity front, the smartphone features dual 4G VoLTE SIM slots, WiFi 802.11ac, Hotspot, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/A-GPS, 3.5mm Audio Jack and Type C USB port. Sensors onboard are fingerprint sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, Gyroscope, digital compass and proximity sensor. The smartphone weighs 165g and measures 153×75.65×7.85mm.
