The smartphone is launched in MWC 2018 alongside Zenfone 5Z, Zenfone 5 Lite and Zenfone Max (M1) (ZB555KL). We saw the iPhone X like Notch in Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 5Z launching in the mega tech event at Barcelona.
Talking about the Asus Zenfone Max (M1), 5.5-inch HD+ display and 4000mAh battery are it’s highlight features. The smartphone looks alike to Zenfone Max Plus M1 to a large extent with some changes in the specifications. The screen size is reduced from 5.7-inch to 5.5-inch and the MediaTek SoC is replaced with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425/430 SoC. Asus Zenfone Max (M1) packs a 5.5-inch HD+ (720x1440p) LCD display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 84.4% screen-to-body ratio. The pixel density of the screen is 245ppi and features 2.5D curved glass. On the optics front, the smartphone sports dual lens camera at the back, primary being a 13-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture and PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus). The secondary camera bears an 8-megapixel sensor with 120 degree wide angle lens and f/2.2 aperture with a Dual LED flash. The front camera bears an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture but not limited to this as it may vary from region-to-region, Asus informed.
