Ludhiana Shocks: Sister Out to Buy Rakhi Mowed down by Man Suffering Cardiac Arrest while Driving

As per a report by HT, Arun pressed the accelerator pedal instead of brake after he got caught by cardiac arrest. The speeding car rammed Reema who was on her scooty just 2kms away from her residence. Reema was reportedly out to buy a Rakhi for his brother as the nation celebrates Raksha Bandhan on Sunday, Aug 22.

In a painful incident, on Saturday, Aug 21, a 34-year old woman, Reema Maghu, was mowed down by a man driving his Toyota Innova at Ram Sharnam, Hambran Road, Ludhiana. The woman succumbed to her injuries in Dayanand Medical College and Hospital on Saturday. The accused man, Arun Jain (45), killed Reema after he lost control of his vehicle as he suffered a cardiac arrest. Arun also succumbed at the same hospital where Reema breathed her last.

Arun’s vehicle only came to stop after hitting two more vehicles in its vicinity. The woman in Arun’s car also suffered injuries when the tragic incident took place.

Reema lived with her husband and two young children, and had planned to visit her parents on Sunday. The entire family is under shock after hearing the news.
