The often fuss between a couple pertaining to snoring habits during sleep may be worrying a lot, however the technology seems to be concerning such often disheartening events between the couple. As per a recent report, Fitbit, a wearable tech brand, is soon planning to roll out a feature in its wrist bands that will detect the snoring of the user. Now, this is as exciting as going on an adventurous ride because the news is making many wonder “I mean, What?”
Though, the report also unveils certain precautions that the user must take care of in order to help the technology work efficiently and error free. For a user who wishes to know if he/she really snores and to what extent can wear the device and keep it switched on the whole night while the user is asleep. Since the device will utilize substantial battery power, it is advised to keep the device at least 40% charged.
The one drawback it indicates is that if the user is sleeping with someone who also has the tendency to snore then the device will fail to state who snored while it detected the snoring. This means that the person must be sleeping alone without keeping any other sound on in order to avoid any hindering to the efficient working of the device.
Above anything, the device fails to tell us the reason behind detection of snoring as its usage is still not known. The data recorded by the device may perhaps help the user to affirm that the user indeed snores and must work on it. However, the exact cause of coming up with a technology like this is still beyond our comprehension.
