
The aftermath situation following just concluded West Bengal Assembly Elections 2021 is sending chilling senses to the whole country as multiple incidents of violence on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers have been reported from various parts of West Bengal. The BJP national president, JP Nadda, has expressed serious concerns over the disturbing incidents and announced his 2-day visit to West Bengal on May 4-5 to meet the family of those affected.

The saffron party has also announced protests across the country on May 5 against the retributive violence against the BJP workers in West Bengal post the Assembly Election Result declaration on May 2. “The BJP has announced a nationwide dharna on 5th May against the widespread violence unleashed by TMC workers post the election results in West Bengal. This protest will be held following all Covid protocols across all organisational mandals of the BJP.” tweeted BJP’s official Twitter handle on Monday.

“After Mamta’s victory, her workers are celebrating and breaking the house of BJP workers. More than 9 BJP workers have been killed so far.” understood as tweeted by BJP leader in West Bengal, Kailash Vijayvargiya. The video of violence presumably was shot by some bystanders at the spot.

The Trinamool Congress (TMC) headed by Mamata Banerjee has won 213 seats while BJP has garnered 77 assembly seats in the just concluded West Bengal Assembly Elections 2021. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has himself congratulated Mamata Banerjee for her grand victory in the state, however TMC doesn’t seem to have any difference in these significant gestures by PM Modi.
