Punjab CM “pulls up” Navjot Singh Siddhu for “Gross Indiscipline”, Challenges to Contest against Him from Patiala

The Punjab Congress party leader then went ahead to pull up Siddhu and challenge the latter to contest against him from Patiala if the latter so desires. The face of Punjab unit of Congress party and Chief Minister of Punjab, Capt. Amarinder Singh, expressed his displeasure over the conduct of the former cabinet minister and Congress party leader, Navjot Singh Siddhu, on Tuesday, April 27. In his addressing, the Punjab CM sought clarity from Siddhu if the latter deems himself as a member of the Congress party or against the party. He warned Siddhu that indiscipline conducts in the party won’t be tolerated at any cost.

The Punjab Congress party leader then went ahead to pull up Siddhu and challenge the latter to contest against him from Patiala if the latter so desires. The Punjab CM called upon Siddhu to clear his stance against him and Congress party. He asked Siddhu to clear if he is within Congress party or outside. “If yes, then his continuing rant against his Chief Minister and the government (Punjab Government) amounts to gross indiscipline,” said CM Capt. Amarinder Singh in his press release.

The Punjab CM then lauded the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president, Sunil Jakhar, for his continuous appreciable good work. He cleared the air that Sunil Jakhar’s resignation from his post wil not be accepted. He stated that it’s been just 4 years that Siddhu has joined Congress party, while there are many senior leaders who have committed to Congress party right from the time they joined the party’s youth wing, Youth Congress.

On the issue of COVID-19, the chief minister assured that his government is leaving no stone unturned to keep the situation in Punjab under check.
