Hathras Crime: SP Leader allegedly Kills Girl’s Father for Filing FIR against Him for Molestation, CM orders Invoking NSA

As horrific as it may sound, the father of a girl victim of molestation was brutally murdered allegedly by a Samajwadi Party (SP) leader in Uttar Pradesh on Monday, Mar 1. The deceased father of middle age had registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the prime accused, Gaurav Sharma aka Gaurav Saurang, in 2018. The FIR was registered as Gaurav allegedly had molested his daughter. However, since the deceased father refused to retract the FIR, he was allegedly shot dead by Gaurav, informed girl victim and daughter of the deceased father.

The incident is reported from Naujarpur village of Hathras in Uttar Pradesh under the jurisdiction of Sasni police station. The Hathras police informed that the incident turned ugly after the girl victim and her sister had gone to a nearby temple where the wife and aunt of Gaurav Sharma were also present. The two parties had an argument at the temple premises when Gaurav and the deceased confronted each other while handling the situation, Hathras police informed.

As per the girl victim, Gaurav left the spot with warning to her late father and her family of dire consequences. The girl victim further informed that Gaurav and his accomplices barged into their field on Monday and shot her father after heckling him for a while. The father of the victim girl was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his bullet injuries and breathed his last. The police sent the body for post-mortem and a detailed autopsy report is awaited.

The girl victim in her statement on a video has named Gaurav Sharma as the prime accused belonging to Samajwadi Party. She termed Gaurav Sharma as a ‘terrorist’.
