The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ruled Madhya Pradesh gave a relieving news to the underprivileged and poor section of the society on Thursday, Oct 22 as the Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, announced free COVID-19 vaccines to the poor. In a byte to the news agency, ANI, CM Chauhan asserted that his government has decided to facilitate COVID-19 vaccines free of cost to the poor people in the state.
Chauhan said that the real cure to the pandemic situation in the country is the vaccine to the lethal virus allegedly originating from China. He said that after the trials of the COVID-19 vaccines are effectively carried out and once it’s made available to the public, his government will offer these vaccines free of cost to the poor people in Madhya Pradesh who can’t afford it.
“When trials of COVID-19 vaccines started in the country, then poor people asked questions whether they would be able to afford it. I want to make it clear that the state government has decided that the COVID-19 vaccine will be made available in the state free of cost to poor people who cannot afford it,” asserted CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan, quoted ANI.

In a similar move, the Bihar BJP in its manifesto for the ensuing three-phase assembly elections in the state has announced that if it comes in power in the state, it will provide free COVID-19 vaccines to the people of the state. The BJP mentioned in its manifesto that after the successful trials of the vaccine for the deadly virus, the vaccine will be made available to each person in the state for free, claimed media reports.
