Mumbaikars have got a brand new premium ready-to-consume tea brand in the form of ‘UdaySamrat Chai’ on Thursday, Aug 27, 2020 as the ‘Common Man’s Tea’ brand opened its first outlet in Mumbai’s one of the most popular places, Chandivali, near ‘green hub’ Powai. The outlet is located next to Ansa Industrial Estate at Saki Vihar Road near Chandivali Bus stop. The outlet was inaugurated by Shiv Sena’s local leader, Ashok Matekar, who is also the husband of Shiv Sena corporator, Ashwini Matekar.

The brand new tea outlet was inaugurated in the very traditional way as the promoter of the brand organized ‘Lord Satya Narayan Pooja’ on the auspicious day. The Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic seemed ineffective after people showed immense positive response to the launch event. However, the outlet administrators had organised hand sanitizer, following social distancing norms and other precautions to respect the state’s guidelines sketched to contain the spread of the lethal virus.

The outlet administration ensured complete following of social distancing by the attendees at the grand outlet opening ceremony on Thursday. One of the promoters of the brand’s Mumbai Division, Rajendra Vaish, felt overwhelmed by the response shown by the customers who tasted the tea and responded positively towards the taste and presentation of the tea brand.

The promoter of the brand also assured for continuous advancement in the way tea is consumed in the country.

We want to revive people’s belief in our local brand which promises to serve international quality standards at the local price.” affirmed Shanti Vaish while being confident about UdaySamrat Chai becoming the top known brand in ready-to-consume tea category.

The tea brand has developed its own proprietary ingredients made by handpicked Indian herbs well known for tea making. The promoters have also emphasized on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Vocal for Local” initiative and urged people to taste their tea at least once and spread the word to make the brand India’s top known tea brand in the said category. “Our PM is very ambitious for our country, so are we. We will do every possible thing to make our brand India’s top known brand in the tea category. While giving a tough competition to the existing brands like Yewale Amrutulya, Premacha Chaha, Saiba Amrutulya, etc., UdaySamrat Chai has kept the franchise fee as minimum as just Rs. 1 lac plus Goods and Services Tax (GST) which itself reflects the brand’s competitiveness. This is going to be interesting to see how the competition responds to UdaySamrat Chai’s robust plan and ambition.

As of now, the brand aims to target Mumbai and Maharashtra to achieve its expansion plan while aiming to expand across the country, to climb the ladder to international locations eventually. It will be interesting to see the country’s local brand flourishing to the international level if it succeeds in it’s plan.
