As shocking as it may sound, a doctor committed more than 100 kidnapping and murders, and was evading police authorities after jumping weeks-long parole in January this year. The man identified as Dr. Devendra Sharma had hoped to settle in Delhi and start a new life when he was apprehended by Delhi police late Tuesday, July 28. Dr. Sharma who served 16 years imprisoned was granted a 20 day long parole basis his good behaviour in the jail, a police official informed.
Dr. Devendra Sharma, who brutally killed hundreds while being in a doctor-like profession, is now behind the bars again. Serial killer Dr. Sharma had earlier confessed that after 50 assassinations, he had forgotten to count the murders, and was termed as “Dr. Death” due to his fascination towards brutally killing human beings. Now, he has admitted that, so far, he has killed more than 100 people, most of whose mortal remains he made crocodile food in a canal in Uttar Pradesh.
Dr. Death was serving a life sentence in jail for the past 16 years in a kidney transplant racket case and was on parole when he decided to jump parole and live freely in Delhi. He was to go back to jail after 20 days but he went underground. Now, after getting caught, he is opening a raw blog of black exploits.
Runs Fake Gas Agency:Everyone wants to know how he became a murderer while being in a doctor like profession in Rajasthan. After inquiry, the truth surfaced out that he had chosen the path of crime after being deceived in an investment of 11 lacs by a company. He then started a kidney transplant racket and a fake gas agency, along with his fellow doctors. Not only this, he also sold stolen vehicles. When he needed a cylinder for his fake gas agency, he would rob the gas delivery truck and kill its driver.
Driver’s bodies were thrown into the canal:
Sharma along with his gang used to kill cab drivers for their vehicles. For going from UP to Delhi, the gang used to book taxis and rob them. The mortal remains of the drivers were dumped in the Hazara canal in Kasganj of Uttar Pradesh where numerous crocodiles lived.
“They used to dump dead bodies in Hazara canal in Uttar Pradesh’s Kashganj, which had crocodiles (and) there was no chance of retrieval of any body,” said Rakesh Paweriya, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Delhi.
The story of Cruelty began:
Dr. Death was arrested from Delhi on Wednesday, July 29. In the year 1984, Devendra Sharma completed his graduation in Ayurvedic Medicine and opened a clinic in Rajasthan. Then in 1994, he invested 11 lakhs in a company for the gas agency. But the company suddenly disappeared. After the loss, he opened a fake gas agency in 1995. Sharma formed a gang that would loot trucks carrying LPG cylinders. For this, they would kill the driver and put the truck somewhere, just to sell them later. During this time, Sharma committed around 24 murders with the gang.
Devendra Sharma aka Dr. Death then joined the kidney transplant gang. He got 125 transplants at the cost of seven lakhs per transplant. Simultaneously, these people would kill the cab drivers and loot their cabs. The driver’s body was thrown into the Hazara canal, and the cab was sold as a used car. He was then caught in 2004 and punished with life imprisonment, of which he spent 16 years in Jaipur jail. He then received a 20-day parole in January 2020 for his good behaviour, as per DCP Paweriya. But he escaped and got underground. He, then, started hiding in the Mohan Garden in Delhi. Here he was about to defraud a businessman, however, the police got a clue of him being here and eventually he was nabbed.
