The ‘Swadeshi’ brand, Lava, has launched a new smartphone, Lava Z66, amid the high intensity revolution against Chinese smartphone brands in India due to recent India-China border dispute. The Lava Z66 comes with a 2.5D curved waterdrop notch display, 13-megapixel main camera sensor in the dual lens camera module at the rear panel while packing a 3,950mAh battery.

The handset has gone for sale via offline mode while that via online mode is still expected to begin soon on Amazon India and Flipkart. The Lava Z66 comes with pocket friendly price, i.e. INR 7,777 for the sole variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage capacity. The handset is available in Marine Blue, Berry Red and Midnight Blue options.
The smartphone sports a 6.08-inch HD+ display with screen resolution of 720x1560pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. The handset bears a dual lens camera module at the rear panel comprising a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture and 5-megapixel secondary auto focus sensor with a placement of an LED flash underneath. For selfies and video calls, the handset sports a 13-megapixel camera sensor with f/2.2 aperture and screen flash.
The Lava Z66 runs Android 10 OS. Under the hood, the handset is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz speed, paired with a 3GB RAM. For internal storage, the handset has only one option of 32GB inbuilt storage capacity expandable up to 128GB using MicroSD card. As mentioned earlier, the handset comes packed with a 3,950mAh battery.
On the connectivity front, the handset supports dual Nano 4G compatible SIM slots, Bluetooth v4.2, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, MicroUSB port, 3.5mm Audio Jack, etc. The sensors that come onboard include fingerprint sensor, face recognition sensors, ambient light sensor, proximity, digital compass and accelerometer.
The Lava Z66 measures 155.6×73.5×8.85mm and weighs 162g.
