Amid the ongoing riots in the United States of America (USA) as a result of alleged killing of George Floyd by police, looters are on a monstrous ride to take advantage of the situation. Several incidents of store looting and damage to public properties in the US have been reported after the protests erupt at many places in the US. A recent incident of robbery at DJI store by 5 riot miscreants is said to have burned the pockets of the DJI drone store owner, big time, in New York’s Manhattan city.
The looters ran away with $16,000 worth DJI drones after barging into the store from the front door, reported NYPost on June 4. The video footage retrieved from the CCTV cameras installed inside the store showed the miscreants’ contest to rush into the store and escape with the hefty priced drones from the store.
The miscreants entered the store and hit the glass door till it broke and collapsed. The video footage shows the incident of glass breaking inside the store. Subsequently, entered the rooms where the drones were kept and snatched them from there before disappearing from the spot. The time of incident is reported to be 11.25 pm. The miscreants seem to have entered the store in the disguise of the protesters from the front door.
A similar incident was reported recently where few men robbed the Apple store and ran away with the expensive iPhones. The luxury and high security smart product maker has planned to nab the robbers using the high security technology in the looted smart devices. However, DJI store owners seem to be deliberating over the ways to recover the stolen drones. The matter was reported to the Crime Stoppers NY. It is not confirmed if the culprits are apprehended in the matter.
