Apurva Singh had registered an FIR against some miscreants, reportedly, couple of months back. However, seeing no action on her complaint, Singh posted her ordeal on social media on Sunday, May 17. “Is it wrong to be a BJP supporting woman? If not, then why Congress, SP (Samajwadi Party) and especially, minority religious groups are morphing my photo with BJP flag into a photo of an unknown girl in an obscene manner and making them viral? Don’t they have mother and sister? It’s been 2 months registering the FIR but neither these posts have vanished, nor any action has been taken in the case,” wrote Singh, on her twitter post.
इनको क्या ऐसी गंदी और झूठी पोस्ट् वाइरल कर ये भी नहीं समझ आता की वो किसी की ज़िंदगी के साथ खिलवाड़ कर रहे हैं❓

Singh continued writing in her following tweet, “Don’t these people realize that their such obscene and false viral posts may ruin someone’s life? Anyway, I’m neither going to give up, nor going to be feared by this act. I’m confident law will serve justice to me. Please support me. Har Har Mahadev,”
Soon, senior BJP leaders stood in support of Apurva Singh and support flooded in her favour. The National Commission for Women (NCW) also took cognisance of the matter and wrote a letter to Delhi police and Commissioner of Delhi Police to investigate the matter put forward by Singh in her complaint.
