Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Office to Ferry Migrant Workers from Uttar Pradesh Borders to Rajasthan – Report

The office of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has, reportedly, mobilised these buses from several districts of Rajasthan to take home those migrant workers heading to their home towns from Uttar Pradesh. These buses are said to reach their target spots at the Uttar Pradesh borders by the morning of Sunday, May 17.

The Congress party’s executive leader has also written a letter to the UP chief minister, Yogi Adityanath, seeking permission to allow to ply 1000 buses to ferry migrant workers walking to their destinations during nationwide lockdown due to Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). The letter reveals the party’s plan to ferry 500 migrant workers from Ghazipur Border, Ghajiabad and 500 migrant workers from Noida border.

In the letter, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has assured that the cost of the initiative will be borne by the Congress party. She also wrote that the migrant workers cannot be left to die on the streets. “Nation building labourers cannot be left (unattended) this way. Indian National Congress party is committed to help these labourers,” wrote Gandhi Vadra in her letter to CM Yogi Adityanath.
