The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National General Secretary, Ram Madhav, hit back at Anjuman-e-Haideri, a largest Shia organisation in India, for it’s comment “Islamophobia in India”. While recalling the comment of Anjuman-e-Haideri, the senior BJP leader refuted the former’s accusations on Rashtriya Swawamsewak Sangh (RSS) for targeting Muslims during Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. While emphasising that this pandemic is a global disaster and doesn’t link with any religion & region, Madhav urged everyone to unite against COVID-19.

“This pandemic is a challenge for the entire humanity. It does not see any religion, any region. It does not see any country. In the fight against this pandemic, we all should be united. Anybody spreading any communal or negative sentiment should be condemned and rejected.” reacted Ram Madhav to the accusations of Islamophobia by RSS.

The senior BJP leader and an RSS affiliate, Madhav, apprehended a false propaganda against the country in the name of Islamophobia. He stated that Islamophobia has turned into a fashionable slogan and everyone wants to write on it. However, he emphasized that a phobia exists in all societies like there is Modi-phobia (Prime Minister Narendra Modi Phobia), RSS-phobia, etc.
“Islamophobia has become a fashionable slogan. Now everybody writes about it. Let me tell you. Such phobias exist in all societies. At some level, there can be Islamophobia for some people. There is Modi-phobia here. There is RSS phobia here.” affirmed senior BJP & RSS leader, Ram Madhav, quoted ANI.

Showing his gratitude towards everyone’s role in building the country, Madhav slammed Anjuman-e-Haideri for communalising this global crisis of COVID-19 into Islamophobia. He stated that India is safe for all 1.3 billion Indians. Madhav stated that all phobias are bad for the country whether it is Islamophobia or Modi phobia or RSS phobia.
In a recent letter written to PM Modi, Anjuman-e-Haideri has accused “manuvadi forces including in RSS” of defaming Muslims and creating disharmony within the society. The letter has emphasized on some anti-national groups damaging the country’s safety and security, creating hatred among different communities which are affecting India’s relations with closer ally countries.

Though there are debates on Islamophobia, it is seen that Muslims are, allegedly, brainwashed in the name of Islam and instigated to enter mosques and pray together as seen in the case of Tablighi Jamaat congregation. Tablighi Jamaat chief, Maulana Saad, is allegedly seen in a video commanding Muslims to gather in mosques and even if they die in a mosque, they will earn heaven. Such mentality people have ashamed the nationalist Muslims who think for the country.
Anjuman-e-Haideri must take into account the repeated offences against COVID-19 warriors by several groups of Muslims across the nation. They must urge and make some strong initiatives to prevent Muslims from attacking the COVID-19 warriors for their selfless deeds of safeguarding every Indians from COVID-19 pandemic.
