The Japanese tech giant, Sony, is reportedly working on a range of ‘hearing wearables’ in the form of Bluetooth earphones. The designs of these range of earphones were filed for a patent registration in 2019. The same had, a month ago, got published in the journal of the Japanese Patent Office (JPO), reported source.
The listing doesn’t reveal the specifications and features of the earphones. However, it did show 9 B&W (Black and White) photos of the wireless Bluetooth earphone while one was a colored image among them.
As per sources, the earphone is designed for Athletes and can also be used under the helmet. The bean shaped cordless earphone, in the image, seems to have the volume button at the top of the control panel. As per speculations, the Japanese tech brand may deploy the touch sensitive control panels for easy access.
The earphone phone looks very ergonomic in the image, however, a physical access may clear the air on the ergonomic experience. Few recent launched earphones by Samsung are WH-1000XM3, WF-XB700 & WI-SP510 wireless earphone. This shows company’s focus on attracting the Bluetooth earphone consumers in it’s new mission.
We need to wait and watch if Sony decides to bring this product in real or will it just remain the idea on paper. It is also possible that Sony might revise the design and bring a better or more attracting design in the final product. that it has proposed to the JPO.
