The South Korean tech giant, Samsung, won million hearts, on Thursday, April 23, after it announced free repairs and discounts for the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) warriors in the United States of America (USA). The tech giant has announced that it will provide huge discount of up to 30% on the purchase of Samsung products through their online store.
The South Korean tech giant, revealed in it’s press release that this is an initiative from the company to strengthen communication means for the COVID-19 warriors.
The company has been extending support to its home country, South Korea, and it’s key market, India, in this pandemic situation in the world. The company has now stepped forward for the US.
Samsung also announced free repair service to the frontline workers like doctors, nurses, police, firefighters, EMTs and hospital staff. The free repair also include the broken screen as well as battery damage. However, it doesn’t include any water damage and dead phones. It announced that the offer is only valid till June 30.
Samsung placed certain conditions before the beneficiaries like the frontline workers will have to show their Identity Card (ID) in order to take the benefits. The company has forged alliance with UBreakIFix to provide the free repair service. This means that any frontline worker who wants to take this benefit will have to take his/her Samsung phone to the UBreakIFix outlet or courier the smartphone to the outlet. The service can be availed only once per customer.
