The Facebook owned WhatsApp is bringing-in couple of new features in it’s chatting application soon which will really make many raise their thumps up for the USA headquartered social media giant. According to a report, WhatsApp will incorporate a “message expiring” feature in it’s chat menu. The message expiring feature will enable the users to set a timer to vanish particular messages after a specified time period.
As per the screenshots shared in the report, one may choose to set a timer of 1 day, 1 week or 1 month for new messages to expire from the database. A similar feature was available in Google’s Allo where one could set up a timer to see the new messages expire after a particular period. The Facebook owned widely used application seems to be incorporating this feature late, which will still be welcomed by the users.
While one of the two features is the introduction of the expiring messages in WhatsApp’s chat menu, the other feature is the empowering of the app to be active in multiple devices at the same time. This means, a user will be able to login to it’s account on two devices simultaneously.
Currently, WhatsApp once active on any one device cannot be logged-in simultaneously on any other device. For example, a user who has installed WhatsApp in his one smartphone and is active there, cannot use the same account actively on any other smartphone simultaneously. However, this problem is very soon going to be resolved by the introduction of this new feature.
WhatsApp has millions of users who will get the benefits of these features. The two new features will be available on both, iOS as well as Android, platforms. The date of release of these features is, however, unknown. As per speculations, the new update of WhatsApp may incorporate these cool features in it. Hence, we need to wait to see if WhatsApp decides to bring these new features in it’s application in the next update.
