The Motorola brand announced its new smartphone, Moto G8, finally on Thursday, in Brazil. The company has chosen to launch the G8-series smartphones in series. To recall, the Moto G8 Plus and Moto G8 Play were launched first in October 2019 while the Moto G8 Power was launched in February 2020.
The highlight features of the newly announced Moto G8 include a large display with a hole-punch for the front camera, triple lens rear camera, Snapdragon 665 SoC, 4GB RAM and 4,000mAh battery. As for the price, the handset is listed on the company’s Brazil website at BLR 1,299 (approx. INR 21,000). The handset is available in Pearl White and Neon Blue color variants and is available for purchase in Brazil while soon in the other markets.

The Moto G8 sports a large 6.4-inch Max Vision HD+ display with the screen resolution of 720×1560 pixels, 19:9 aspect ratio, 269ppi Pixel Density and Active Area-Touch Panel. On the optics front, the handset sports a triple lens camera module at the rear panel with primary 16-megapixel sensor with f/1.7 aperture, secondary 8-megapixel wide angle sensor with 118-degree Field-of-View and f/2.2 aperture, and the 2-megapixel tertiary macro sensor with f/2.2 aperture. At the front, as mentioned earlier, the display features a hole-punch at the extreme left hand top corner to enclose an 8-megapixel sensor.
The handset runs Android 10 version OS. Under the hood, the handset is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC, clocked at 2GHz, coupled with a 4GB RAM. The internal storage capacity of the handset is 64GB while it is expandable to up to 512GB using a MicroSD card. It packs a 4,000mAh battery with support to the 10W fast charging.
On the connectivity front, the Moto G8 features 4G LTE connectivity, Bluetooth v5.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/A-GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, etc. The handset weighs 188.3 grams while measures 161.27×75.8×8.95mm.
