The South Korean tech giant, Samsung, made it’s second flagship foldable smartphone, Galaxy Z Flip, official in India on Thursday, February 20. The smartphone was launched in the US last week and the one unwrapped in India is the imported one, which confirms no change in the design or the specifications. The highlight features of the smartphone lie in the clamshell fold from the middle of the smartphone, Snapdragon 855+ processor, 8GB RAM, dual lens rear camera and 3,300mAh battery.

The Galaxy Z Flip is priced INR 1,09,999 for the sole variant with 8GB RAM + 256GB internal memory. The phone is available in the 3 color variants which include Mirror Black, Mirror Purple and Mirror Gold. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip sports a dual display module with primary display of 6.7-inch FHD Dynamic AMOLED infinity Flex display with screen resolution of 1080×2636 pixels and 21.9:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone features a 1.1-inch Super AMOLED secondary display with screen resolution of 112×300 pixels and 303ppi pixel density.

On the optics front, the smartphone sports a dual lens camera setup with 12-megapixel wide angle primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture while a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture. For the selfie clicks and video calls, the smartphone sports a 10-megapixel single lens camera with f/2.4 aperture.
The Galaxy Z Flip runs OneUI based on Android 10 version. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC paired with 8GB RAM & 256GB internal memory capacity. Sadly, there is no memory expansion option available in this flagship foldable smartphone. As for the battery, the smartphone packs a 3,300mAh battery with compatibility to fast charging.

On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers a dual SIM support with 4G LTE compatibility. The smartphone measures 87.4×73.6×17.33mm when folded while 167.3×73.6×7.2mm in the unfolded position. The smartphone weighs 183grams.
