The American tech giant, Apple, is contemplating to launch the affordable version of iPhone by the end of Q1 of this year. As per a recent report by a German site iphone-ticker.de, the Cupertino based tech giant is planning to launch nothing but the newer version of iPhone SE launched in 2016. The newer version is possibly going to be known as iPhone SE 2 or the iPhone 9. This raises our eyebrows to speculate something bigger to uncover in the WWDC scheduled in June this year.
As per the report, the iPhone SE 2 may launch on March 31 and go for sale on Friday, April 3. The speculated price is around $399 which places this iPhone in the very much mid range segment. As for the specifications speculated in the earlier rumours, iPhone SE 2 may come powered by the A13 chipset, coupled with 3GB RAM. The internal memory is speculated to be 64GB or 128GB with a different price tag respectively.
The rumours has it that the iPhone SE 2 may look bigger than the original iPhone SE but nothing closer to the ones available in it’s price range from the Chinese competitors. The phone may look like an odd man out in the crowd of the large display handsets but it may worth owning one. It is also rumoured that Apple may change the display make to compensate the price cut, however, it is yet not revealed by any tipsters or leaksters.
We still do not know if Apple has planned March 31 event for the launch of this better version, iPhone SE 2, or we will be surprised by an altogether different product. Though, sources clearly hint at the launch of the iPhone SE 2. We need to wait till March end to see if Apple kills our curiosity by launching the iPhone SE 2 or any other products.
