The New Delhi headquartered Maruti Suzuki has launched the latest Eeco model at a starting price of INR 3.81 Lacs (ex-showroom, Delhi) in India. The multi-purpose vehicle go up to the price scale of INR 4.21 Lacs (ex-showroom, Delhi) depending upon the variant you choose. Apart from the petrol models, the company has also announced the availability of a CNG model, the price of which is still to be announced.

The company has introduced the latest BS6 emission compliant engine in the new model. As for the engine specifications, the newest model inherits the same 1.2 litre, four cylinder engine that gives the power output of 73 bhp and 101 Nm of peak torque. The BS6 compliant engine’s ARAI-rated fuel efficiency is higher than that of the BS4 compliant engine. The said mileage of 15.37 kmpl in the BS4 compliant vehicle is ascended to 16.11 kmpl in the BS6 complaint vehicle.
The look and feel of this year launched Eeco doesn’t look any different, design-wise, than the earlier versions. However, internally, the company has installed the upgraded G-series engine, discarding the news of deployment of latest K-series engines.

The Maruti Suzuki Eeco was first launched in 2010 and the company claims to have sold more than 5 lac units since it’s inception. The vehicle is popular in the cargo transport industry, though also preferred for family commuting. The Maruti Suzuki has been successful in sustaining it’s foothold in the Indian market in he van segment.
