The former chief minister of Maharashtra and Leader of Opposition, Devendra Fadnavis, spoke to media, on Sunday, and clarified his stand on the allegations of corruption on his previous government by the Maha Vikas Aaghadi (MVA) ally Congress party. While refuting the claims of corruption on his previous government in the state, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader stated that MVA must go ahead with whichever investigation they wish to go for.
He reaffirmed that his government had worked in a very transparent manner and he is not scared of such threats of investigation against him or his government. “If anything would have taken place during my government period, the current MVA government must, definitely, 100%, do any probe or investigation they wish to do,” said Fadnavis while speaking to reporters in Akluj of Maharashtra’s Solapur.
The Maharashtra BJP crusader also clarified that he is not scared of any threats of investigation or probe by the current dispensation against him as his government has worked in a very transparent manner. “We have worked in a very transparent manner. People have seen the work of Fadnavis government. People have seen the work of our ministers and that’s why we are not scared (of any probe against Fadnavis government),” said Fadnavis in the presence of other party leaders including the Maharashtra BJP state president, Chandrakant Patil, in Solapur.
The “CM-in-waiting” sounded very confident while speaking to media and put allegations of Shiv Sena-led Maharashtra government working in a very astonishing and vengeful manner. The former CM tweeted his conversation with the reporters from his twitter handle. While tweeting the video clip, he wrote, “Government is free to do any inquiry they want. People have seen our work! Media interaction at Vijaynagar-Vizori,Akluj सरकारला जी कोणती चौकशी करायची असेल, ती करायला ते मोकळे आहेत, ती त्यांनी नक्की करावी! जनतेने आमचे काम पाहिले आहे! माध्यमांशी संवाद..,” read the tweet from Devendra Fadnavis.

The statement from former CM has come in response to the allegations of his government in Maharashtra being the “most corrupt” from the senior Congress party leader and 17th chief minister of Maharashtra, Prithviraj Chauhan. Chauhan had said that an investigation will be done to unearth the alleged corruption by the previous BJP government in the state.
