The well known analyst told Huawei Central and MacRumours that the company will accomplish it’s plan by integrating a redesigned periscope telephoto lens coupled with the 10x optical zoom lens to achieve the 10x optical zoom. He also said that the camera will also include two-mirror to achieve it’s 10x optical zoom requirement. This will be an unprecedented feature in Huawei’s phone. However, Kuo emphasized that Huawei P40 Pro will not be the only phone in 2020 to enclose this feature.
The camera of the Huawei P40 Pro will bear an 8-megapixel resigned periscope telephoto lens with the aperture as high as f/4.0. So, the 10x optical zoom feature of the camera will be achieved in the Huawei P40 Pro with the mechanism of mirror and prism structures inside the camera. To recall, the predecessor Huawei P30 Pro has a 5x optical zoom capability.
