Bollywood pays Homage to Martyrs of 26/11

Writing for the martyrdom of the Indian security forces during the encounter with the terrorists, Anushka Sharma expressed her condolences to the family of those who lost their lives in this attack. She also saluted the martyrs of the 26/11.

The eleventh anniversary of the darkest Wednesday of 2008 for Mumbai, has come to bring every Mumbaikars into tears. The 4 days of terror concluded by 10 terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba on 26/11 of 2008, killed none less than 174 while leaving more than 300 injured. All the 9 terrorists out of 10 were brought to death by the security forces of the nation.

However, many of the biggies of the Mumbai police force as well as Indian Army lost their lives while discharging their duty for their motherland. Among these biggies were the Chief of Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) Hemant Karkare, Additional Commissioner of Police Ashok Kamte, Senior Inspector & Encounter Specialist Vijay Salaskar, NSG Commando Sandeep Unnikrishnan and other.

A flood of messages poured on social media to pay homage and tribute to the martyrs of 26/11. Among the general Twitterities are the Bollywood biggies like ‘PK’ actress Anushka Sharma, ‘Fashion’ maker Madhur Bhandarkar, and Koena Mitra.

Writing for the martyrdom of the Indian security forces during the encounter with the terrorists, Anushka Sharma expressed her condolences to the family of those who lost their lives in this attack. She also saluted the martyrs of the 26/11. “A humble salute to all the martyrs of the ghastly and horrific 26/11 terror attacks. Our thoughts and prayers will always be with the families of all the soldiers and civilians who lost their lives in this incident 🙏🏻 #NeverForget Jai Hind.” tweeted Sharma on the 11th anniversary of 26/11.

The director and producer of critically acclaimed movies like Chandni Bar, Traffic Signal, etc. also tweeted paying his tribute to the real heroes of the 26/11. “Remembering the Real Heroes who saved the city 11 years ago on 26/11, My heartfelt tribute to all those martyrs and Innocent Civilians who Lost their lives in #MumbaiTerrorAttack . 🙏🇮🇳 ” wrote Bhandarkar on his twitter handle.

The ‘Musafir’ actress Koena Mitra came with a tweet targeting at the Congress party leader Digvijay Singh. Her tweet read, “Do not forget or forgive these criminals ever! #26/11 #MumbaiTerrorAttack”.
