The day which will declare the new government in Maharashtra & Haryana has finally arrived today. The states which underwent through the process of polling on Oct 21, Monday will finally see their new rulers today. There is intense battle between the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the dethroned Congress party in both the states. The ruling party, BJP, is shown sweeping the assembly polls in both the states in the majority of the exit polls conducted by the major media houses.

The chief minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar, expressed his satisfaction with his performance during his reign in the last 5 years and hoped for a bumper comeback. Overwhelmed by the exit poll results, Khattar, tweeted thanking the voters for choosing his government again in the state. “समाचार चैनलों के एक्जिट पोल में @BJP4Haryana को स्पष्ट बढ़त मिल रही है जिसके लिए मैं हरियाणा के प्रत्येक मतदाता का आभार प्रकट करता हूँ। यह परिणाम प्रत्येक भाजपा कार्यकर्ता के उस कठिन परिश्रम का फल है जो हम सभी ने मिलकर पूरे चुनाव अभियान के दौरान किया है।

On the other side, chief minister of Maharashtra showed the same confidence on his return to power in the state. While highlighting his efforts in the state, Fadnavis, wrote on his twitter handle confirming that people of Maharashtra stand with his party-led government. “In all addressed 65 rallies during actual campaigning and around 160 during #MahaJanadeshYatra a month ago.

Thursday, Oct 24, 08:50 PM: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the BJP headquarters in Delhi to address the workers of the party. This step was initiated after the result for Maharashtra & Haryana Assembly Election was declared on Thursday. In his addressing to workers, PM Modi lauded the work of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis. “Devendra Fadnavis ji and Manohar Lal ji both were first time chief ministers, they did not even have the experience as ministers. And for 5 years they kept working for people’s welfare and as a result people have again put their faith in them,” said PM Modi in his addressing to the BJP workers.

Thursday, Oct 24, 03:30 PM: 4 times Congress party MLA Arif Naseem Khan from Chandivali Vidhan Sabha constituency has lost his seat to Shiv Sena leader Dilip Bhausaheb Lande by a margin of mere 409 votes. Congress party leader Rahul Gandhi had addressed a gathering at Chandivali and had asked for massive votes for Khan.
