The Taiwanese tech brand, Asus, has launched it’s Asus ROG Phone 2 in India today. The phone is a successor to the originally launched Asus ROG Phone earlier this year. The Asus ROG Phone 2 was launched in China this July and is now debuting in India. The highlight features of the gaming device are the AMOLED display, latest Snapdragon 855+ processor coupled with 12GB RAM & 6,000mAh giant battery.
The price of the smartphone is seen kept at a very lesser price than the original ROG Phone at INR 69,999 last year. The price of the 8GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage variant is set at INR 37,999. For the 12GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage capacity, the price is kept at INR 59,999. The phone is said to be available for sale from September 30, during the Flipkart Big Billion Sale period.
The Asus ROG Phone 2 dominates the front with a large 6.59-inch Full-HD+ 120Hz AMOLED display with screen resolution of 1080x2340pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. The smartphone has a dual lens camera at the back with primary being a 48-megapixel sensor and 13-megapixel secondary wide-angle sensor with 125-degree field-of-view. At the front lies a 24-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling.
The Asus ROG Phone 2 runs on ROG UI based on Android 9 Pie and promises faster data processing. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC coupled with 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/512GB internal storage capacity. The handset packs a very heavy duty 6,000mAh battery for long lasting usage, especially, made for game freaks. The battery supports Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging.
On the connectivity front, the smartphone supports dual 4G VoLTE enabled SIM slots, WiFi, Bluetooth and USB connectivity. It also locates an in-display fingerprint sensor for easy unlock and authentication.
