During the 11 days Ganesh Chaturthi celebration, Ajanta News seeks applications from all the interested Ganeshotsav Mandals in the Chandivali Vidhan Sabha constituency. The team of Ajanta News inspect the Mandals, subsequently, on the parameters of cleanliness, fire safety arrangements, arrangements for differently-abled visitors, medical facilities, knowledge on Lord Ganesha through Multiple Choice Questionnaire session with the position holders of the Mandals, etc. Ajanta News team works day and night to identify the best 3 Ganeshotsav Mandals in the Chandivali Vidhan Sabha constituency and honor them in it’s annual award ceremony on the last day of Ganesh Chaturthi.
“We like this initiative by Ajanta News, as this gives us inspiration to do better every progressive year,” said Subhash (Baba) Gaikwad, President of Tarun Mitra Mandal and a prominent Shiv Sena leader from Chandivali. “It is not about winning or losing the award, it is about the process that Ajanta News follows to identify the best in our constituency. We feel the necessity to perform extraordinarily on all the parameters set by Ajanta News in this competition,” said the president of Parvati Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal in Khairani Road of Chandivali constituency.
The award ceremony on September 12 started with Rajendra Vaish, Editor of Ajanta News, sloganeering ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya’ followed by “Pudhchya Varshi Lavkar Ya” (Hey Lord Ganesha come soon next year) by the audience. It was then the time to felicitate the guests like local political leaders, local residents, and some humble dignitaries of local Ganeshotsav Mandals in the locality. Then came the time when the audience seemed impatient to know the winners of Chandivali Cha Sarvasreshtha Bappa Award 2019.
The moment finally arrived when the third trophy winner was called upon on the Ajanta News podium to grab their trophy. Shanti Vaish, one of the Chief Editors of Ajanta News, came forward to give away the third prize to Tarun Mitra Mandal headed by Shri. Subhash (Baba) Gaikwad along with his brother Shri. The Mandal is located near Samita Complex of Andheri East, which is a part of Chandivali Vidhan Sabha constituency. Notably, last year, the third prize winner title of Chandivali Cha Sarvasreshtha Bappa Award 2018 was secured by Pimpleshwar Mahadev Seva Mandal located at Sakinaka of Andheri East.
As the time passed, the audience again looked curious to know the second prize winner and so, without any further delay, the second prize winner was announced and called upon on the stage of Ajanta News.
