Nokia 6.2 & Nokia 7.2 launched with Triple Lens Camera & 3,500mAh Battery

The triple lens camera module in the Nokia 6.2 bears 16-megapixel primary wide angle sensor with Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and f/1.8 aperture, 8-megapixel secondary ultra-wide angle secondary sensor and 5-megapixel tertiary depth sensor. At the front, the smartphone sports an 8-megapixel selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture.

The IFA tech fair saw the official launch of Nokia 6.2 & Nokia 7.2 in Berlin on Thursday. Segmented in the mid-range price point, the two handsets come with triple lens camera at the rear, Android One platform, Android 9 Pie and 3,500mAh battery.

The price of Nokia 6.2 is EUR 199 (approx. INR 15,800) for the variant with 3GB RAM + 32GB inbuilt storage. The same model is set at price of EUR 249 (approx. INR 19,800) for the 6GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage. The Nokia 7.2 is set at the price of EUR 299 (approx. INR 23,800) for the variant with 4GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage. The smartphone with 6GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage capacity is priced EUR 349 (approx. INR 27,700). The color variants for Nokia 6.2 are Ceramic Black & Ice. Whereas, for Nokia 7.2, the color variants are Cyan Green, Charcoal & Ice.

The Nokia 6.2 and Nokia 7.2, both sport a 6.3-inch Full-HD+ display with screen resolution of 1080x2380pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and supports HDR10 and bears pixel density of 400ppi. Both the handsets sport a triple lens camera module at the rear with an arrangement for an LED flash.

Wherein, the triple lens camera setup in the Nokia 7.2 bears 48-megapixel primary wide-angle sensor with f/1.79 aperture, 8-megapixel secondary ultra-wide angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 5-megapixel tertiary depth sensor. As for the selfie, the smartphone offers a 20-megapixel selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture.

Both the handsets run on Android 9.0 Pie but different chipset. The Nokia 6.2 is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 636 SoC paired with 4GB RAM. On the other hand, the Nokia 7.2 is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 660 SoC, clocked at up to 2.2GHz, paired with up to 6GB RAM. The internal storage capacity of Nokia 6.2 & Nokia 7.2 is limited to up to 128GB, expandable to up to 512GB using a MicroSD card. The battery, both the smartphones pack, is powered 3,500mAh which is compatible with 10W charging.

On the connectivity front, both the smartphones offer dual 4G SIM slots. The other connectivity options include WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/A-GPS & Type C USB port.
