In the mid of Pakistan talking nonsense about India in it’s country and overseas, Congress party has slammed Pakistan for dragging Congress party leader Rahul Gandhi’s name in a petition it has filed addressing the United Nations (UN) regarding Jammu and Kashmir (J&K). Congress party leader Randeep Surjewala said that Rahul Gandhi’s name has been “mischievously dragged” by Pakistan to justify its stand on Jammu and Kashmir.
The Congress party came forward and issued the statement on the issue. Randeep Surjewala also posted the copy of the statement on his twitter handle. “Let no one in the world be in doubt that JK & Ladakh WERE-ARE-SHALL always remain an integral part of India. No amount of diabolical deception by Pak shall change this truth. Shri Rahul Gandhi has been mischievously dragged by Pak to justify their pack of lies,” Surjewala’s tweet said.
The statement issued by the Congress party began with mentioning that in the petition moved in the UN, the Pakistani Government has “mischievously dragged” Gandhi. “INC (Indian National Congress) has noticed reports citing an alleged petition moved by Pakistani Government to United Nations on Jammu & Kashmir, wherein name of Shri Rahul Gandhi has been mischievously dragged to justify the pack of lies and deliberate misinformation being spread by Pakistan,” the statement read.
In the second paragraph of the statement, it is mentioned that Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh will always be an integral part of India and no amount of diabolical deception by Pakistan shall change this irrevocable truth. The statement, further, asks Pakistan an explanation for the human rights violations in POK-Gilgit-Hunza-Baltistan and persecution and of Mohajirs.
“Instead, Pakistan should answer to the world about unpardonable and inhumane violations of human rights in POK-Gilgit-Hunza-Baltistan. Pakistan also owes an explanation for designed persecution of over 70 million Mohajirs and killing of over 25,000 by Pakistani Forces” Surjewala said in the statement. “We urge that Pakistan should answer these issues, both internally to its people as also to international community, instead of raising the fake Kashmir bogey”, the statement concluded.
Pakistan’s Human Rights Minister, Shireen Mazari, had written a letter to the UN on massive violations of International Human Rights Law by government of India in IOK (Indian- Occupied Kashmir) stated the tweet by the Twitter handle of Ministry of Human Rights, Pakistan.
Along with Rahul Gandhi’s name, the letter mentioned the names of several other leaders of political parties of India. The minister has mentioned Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) leader Vikram Saini’s name. It also includes the Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar’s name, Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti, another former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah.
While putting down the Religious persecution and alleged violent acts which, according to Pakistan took place in Jammu and Kashmir after Article 370 and 35A were scraped, it mentioned Rahul Gandhi’s name to support their allegations against India. The letter read, “these and other, acts of violence have even been acknowledged by mainstream politicians, such as the Leader of Congress Party, Mr. Rahul Gandhi who has noted “people dying” in Jammu and Kashmir, in the light of events “going very wrong there”.”
Rahul Gandhi came forward to reply to Pakistan’s quoting him controversy on the J&K issue. “I disagree with this Govt. on many issues. But, let me make this absolutely clear: Kashmir is India’s internal issue & there is no room for Pakistan or any other foreign country to interfere in it,” tweeted Rahul Gandhi.
“There is violence in Jammu & Kashmir. There is violence because it is instigated and supported by Pakistan which is known to be the prime supporter of terrorism across the world,” he added. Meanwhile, the leaders from the BJP have backlashed on Rahul Gandhi after the Pakistani letter to UN emerged. Union minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that Rahul Gandhi’s immaturity has become a bane for the party.
“Rahul Gandhi ki nadaani Congress ki pareshani ban gayee hai (Rahul Gandhi’s immaturity has become a problem for Congress.)” Naqvi was quoted as saying by media reports. Joining Naqvi to attack Rahul Gandhi was Union minister Giriraj Singh, who said, “It’s like stealing a Band-Aid from the dispensary and sticking it on a gunshot wound.”
“After knocking on every door in the international community, Pakistan’s last resort is now to rely on Rahul Gandhi and Congress,” Giriraj Singh added.
