The Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Central Government attracted numerous reactions from the opposition parties, especially, the Congress party, for using funds from Reserve Bank of India (RBI) reservoir. The former Congress party chief, Rahul Gandhi, made a scathing attack on the Modi government over taking financial help from RBI to overcome the burden of economic slowdown in the nation.
He called Modi government “clueless” about the solution to deploy to counter their “self created economic disaster”. “PM and FM are clueless about how to solve their self created economic disaster. Stealing from RBI won’t work – it’s like stealing Band-Aid from the dispensary and sticking it on a gunshot wound,” tweeted Rahul Gandhi taking a sling shot at Modi government.

Soon after the remark by the Gandhi scion making allegations on central government of “stealing RBI funds”, Union Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, hit back on Rahul Gandhi. In her reaction, Sitharaman made a sarcastic remark on Rahul Gandhi of making remarks without proper knowledge and consultation.
She advised Rahul Gandhi of taking adequate knowledge about an issue before making “chor or chori” remark on anyone. “Whenever Rahul Gandhi raises things like ‘chor-chori’, one thing comes to my mind. He tried his best ‘chor, chor, chori’ but the public has given him a befitting reply. What is the point of using the same words again?,” asked Sitharaman while countering Gandhi’s “stealing RBI funds” remark, quoted ANI.
