The Chinese subsidiary brand of BBK Electronics, Vivo, has launched it’s much awaited Vivo iQoo Pro (4G model) and Vivo iQoo Pro 5G in China. The 5G model is, reportedly, similar to the specifications and features of the 4G model except the 5G connectivity. The 5G model features dual SIM support with primary SIM compatible with 5G network while the secondary one with 4G network. Unlike the 5G model, the 4G model supports 4G network in both it’s SIM. The handsets are the addition to the Vivo iQoo series smartphones.

The highlight features of the smartphones include a large Super AMOLED display, triple lens rear camera, Snapdragon 855 Plus processor and 4,500mAh battery. The price of the 4G model starts at CNY 3,198 (approx. INR 32,300) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt memory. The other variants include the one with 12GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage at the price of CNY 3,498 (approx. INR 35,300). As far as the 5G model is concerned, the base model with 8GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt memory is set at the price of CNY 3,798 (approx. INR 38,400).
The other variant with 8GB RAM + 256GB inbuilt storage is priced CNY 3,998 (approx. INR 40,400) whereas the one with 12GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage capacity is priced CNY 4,098 (approx. INR 41,400). The 4G model is said to go on sale in China from August 29 while the 5G model will be made available in China from September 2. The company hasn’t revealed the date of sale in the other markets. Let’s now zoom at the specifications and features of both the newbies of Vivo.

The Vivo iQoo Pro dominates the front with a 6.41-inch Full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with screen resolution of 1080×2340 pixels and water-drop notch design. The display features an in-display fingerprint scanner to provide the ease of unlocking the device. On the optics front, the smartphone sports a triple lens camera at the rear with 48-megapixel primary sensor, 13-megapixel secondary wide-angle sensor and 2-megapixel tertiary depth sensor. The rear camera module is backed by an LED flash for the low light photography. As for the selfie snapper, the handset bears a dual pixel 12-megapixel selfie snapper at the front.
The handset runs FunTouchOS 9 based on Android 9 Pie. Under the hood, the Vivo iQoo Pro is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC coupled with up to 12GB RAM. The inbuilt storage capacity extends to up to 256GB UFS 3.0 inbuilt memory. The handset, sadly, does not provide the option of memory expansion using any MicroSD card. To fuel the smartphone, Vivo has packed a 4,500mAh inbuilt battery with 44W fast charging support.

On the connectivity front, both the Vivo iQoo Pro 5G and 4G support dual SIM with 5G compatibility in the former while the 4G compatibility in the latter. Other connectivity options include WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, NFC & 3.5mm Audio Jack. The 5G model weighs 217g while the 4G model weighs 215g.
