Vivo S1 with Large Super AMOLED Display, Triple Lens Camera, 4GB RAM and 4,500mAh Battery Launched

The Chinese smartphone brand and subsidiary of BBK Electronics, Vivo, has launched Vivo S1 in the global market. Notably, the smartphone was launched in China in March 2019. Though there is no major alter brought in the new global variant except few. The highlight features of the smartphone include a larger display with water-drop notch design, triple lens rear camera, powerful 4,500mAh battery and an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P65 processor.

The smartphone is said to be set at the price point of IDR 35,99,000 (approx. INR 17,700) for the sole variant with 4GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt memory. The pre-order has already begun on Shopee Mall and the sale will begin from July 23. The handset will be available in Cosmic Green & Skyline Blue color variants. The other details pertaining to the software and specifications are highlighted below

The Vivo S1 sports a 6.38-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with screen resolution of 1080x2340pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone bears a water-drop notch design in its display. On the optics front, the smartphone sports a triple lens camera at the back with 16-megapixel primary sensor with wide angle lens and f/1.78 aperture. The other two lenses include 8-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 5-megapixel tertiary depth sensor with ultra wide angle lens. The triple lens camera module is supported by an LED flash. At the front, the smartphone bears a 32-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture for the selfie snaps and video calls.

The Vivo S1 runs on FunTouch OS 9 based on Android 9 Pie. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P65 SoC clocked at up to 2.0GHz, paired with a 4GB RAM. The internal storage capacity limits to 128GB only, without any option to expand the memory any further. The battery it packs comes with 4,500mAh resolution.

On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers a dual 4G VoLTE SIM support, dual band WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0 LE, GPS/A-GPS, GLONASS, MicroUSB with OTG compatibility, FM Radio and 3.5mm Audio Jack. The sensors include an in-display fingerprint scanner, accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity and digital compass. The smartphone weighs 179.5g and it’s dimensions include 159.53×75.23×8.13mm.
