The name which every Indian chants during his visit and the one who makes every Indian feel proud of, has reacted, purportedly, to the recent violent behaviour of Akash Vijayvargiya, a BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) MLA (Member of Legislative Assembly) from Indore, Madhya Pradesh. According to sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a jibe at the violent and unruly act of Akash Vijayvargiya who is also the son of Kailash Vijayvargiya, BJP’s National General Secretary. PM Modi has tried to draw a line before his party leadership at BJP’s first parliamentary party meeting held on July 2, where Kailash Vijayvargiya was also present.
“whoever it may be, whoever’s son he may be… such arrogance, misbehaviour cannot be tolerated”, PM Modi was quoted as saying by sources. “Manmaani nahi chalegi,” PM Modi said in Hindi which if roughly translated means “whimsicality will not be tolerated” in reference to Akash’s ‘bat attack’ on a Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) official in Ganji Compound, Indore on June 26.
According to the sources, PM Modi didn’t mention any name or pointed at any particular incident, though his words were clearly speculated to have been said against Akash Vijayvargiya. The Prime Minister also added, “If somebody commits a mistake, there should be a sense of apology as well.” He also included that such behaviour can bring harm to the party’s name and that the party will not tolerate such behaviour as it is unacceptable.
Akash Vijayvargiya has been released on bail, on June 30, Sunday, after being in judicial custody for four days for creating a fuss by attacking an anti-encroachment team of IMC with a cricket bat in Indore. Sources also said that both the son and father showed no remorse for Akash Vijayvargiya’s violent action.
PM Modi was addressing the BJP leadership and workers at the first parliamentary party meeting held after he brought a huge victory to BJP in the Lok Sabha poll 2019. PM Modi was therefore appraised by party’s other senior leaders including Amit Shah and JP Nadda.
During the Parliamentary party meeting, Narendra Modi also emphasized on the launch of BJP’s membership drive from Varanasi on July 6. During which, PM Modi asked his workers to plant at least 5 trees in their respective booth and also nurture it, across the country, briefed by Pralhad Joshi, Parliamentary Affairs Minister, to reporters.
The date July 6 is marked as the birth anniversary of BJP ideologue, Syama Prasad Mookerjee.
