Ramadan is the nineth month of Islamic calendar observed by Muslim community as the holy month for fasting and prayers. During this period, Muslims fast for 29-30 days in stretch. While fasting during the day, they refrain from having food, drink, smoking, sexual relationship and any sinful act that would negate them from fasting reward. It is quite difficult to keep themselves thirsty and hungry in such a hot climatic condition. However, these people with determination and faith in god keep the ‘roza’ (fasting) during the day. After the evening namaz, people who kept roza throughout the day have their “iftaar time” when they are allowed to eat.

Many delicious dishes are made for iftaar. People opt for the options of milk, smoothies, soup, dates and other food variants. Eating fruits during iftaar time is a traditional culture in South Asian countries, as they provide sugar for energy, and some vitamins & minerals as well. So today we thought to bring out some essential health beneficial fruits that you can eat during Ramadan due to their nutritional aspect.
