Oppo Reno Z with Snapdragon 710, 6GB RAM and 32-megapixel Selfie Camera Launched

The BBK Electronics subsidiary brand, Oppo, launched it’s new smartphone, Reno Z, in the European market. The highlight features of the smartphone are the display with notch design, in-display fingerprint scanner, Snapdragon 710 chipset, 6GB RAM and dual lens camera at the rear panel. The all sides of the display leave very less bezel and offers an in-display fingerprint scanner at the front.

The other Oppo Reno series smartphones Oppo Reno, Reno 10x Zoom and Reno 5G already had been launched by the company in the European market earlier this year. However, unlike these smartphones, Reno Z has a water-drop notch design. The price of the smartphone has been set at EUR 190 (approx. INR 15,000). The color variants include Ocean Green and Jet Black. Let’s look at the specifications of the smartphone

The Reno Z dominates the front with a 6.4-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with screen resolution of 2340x1080px and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. On the optics front, the handset sports a dual lens camera module at the rear with an LED flash. The primary 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor paired with a 5-megapixel secondary depth sensor aligned vertically one above the other make the back panel look classy. The 32-megapixel selfie camera is placed in the water drop notch at the top center of the display panel.

The Reno Z runs ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie out-of-box. Under the hood, the handset is powered by a 10nm Snapdragon 710 SoC coupled with a 6GB RAM and Adreno 616 GPU. The inbuilt storage capacity of the smartphone is limited to 128GB, and doesn’t allow any further expansion using any MicroSD card. The Reno Z packs a 3,950mAh non-removable battery with support to VOOC 3.0 fast charging.

On the connectivity front, the smartphone features 4G VoLTE, WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, NFC, Type C USB port and 3.5mm audio jack. The sensors onboard include an in-display fingerprint scanner among the others. The handset weighs 186g and measures 157.3×74.9×9.1mm.
