The BBK Electronics subsidiary, Vivo, has confirmed, on a Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo, of launching it’s new Vivo Z5x with punch hole display on May 24 in China. With this, the brand will accomplish in launching it’s first smartphone with a punch hole display. The company, though, hasn’t revealed it’s future plan of launching it in other markets.
The teaser on Weibo, hasn’t revealed any specifications of the smartphone, except the date and time of the launch. However, several recent reports revealed a number of specifications of the device including the display size as well as the battery capacity. The reports claim that the device will sport a 6.53 inch IPS LCD display with probable HD+ resolution.
Apart from the display details, the rumours also suggest of enclosure of a 5,000mAh battery to fuel the device. The company has reportedly planned to keep the slimness of the smartphone to up to 8mm only even after packing a 5,000mAh battery. The handset is said to sport a triple lens camera at the rear panel, the details of which is still unknown.
Under the hood, the smartphone is rumoured to be powered by a Snapdragon 710 chipset. The details were recently reported after a Vivo model bearing the model number V1911A claiming to be Vivo Z5x appeared on GeekBench. The device showed the score of 1848 on Single Core parameter while 5915 on Multi Core parameter. It was also rumoured to be coupled by a 8GB RAM as well as run on Android 9 Pie OS.
