2019 Lok Sabha election proves that politics is incomplete without War of words between the rival parties. The war that started with announcement of Lok Sabha election has turned uglier day-by-day with parties putting personal allegation on their opponents. On Friday, Former MLA of Ratlam and Congress leader Paras Saklecha called Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Bhopal Lok Sabha seat candidate and Malegaon blast accused Sadhvi Pragya Thakur a ‘Daayan’ (witch).

Addressing a public meeting which was organized for Congress Candidate Kantilal Bhuria in Dharmandi area of Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, Paras Saklecha allegedly made a very personal and objectionable comment on Pragya Thakur. “In our Indian culture, a woman who destroys the monsters, and strike at the tyrants we call her as goddess, and on the other hand a woman whose curse kills a wise man is known as ‘Daayan’.” allegedly said Congress Leader, Saklecha, quoted media reports.
“Pragya Thakur is a ‘Daayan’ whose curse took away the life of Hemant Karkare but not Dawood Ibrahim. If she is a Sadhvi in reality and protector of Hindu religion then please curse Dawood Ibrahim, so that he also dies. If this happens then I swear I will make your statue and worship it” Congress leader further added.

He further attacked BJP and allegedly said, “Madhya Pradesh is the heart of India and Bhopal is the Heart of Madhya Pradesh but BJP has chosen such a candidate for this place that I feel ashamed of taking her name”.
On Thursday, Pragya Singh Thakur kicked up fresh controversy after calling Gandhi’s assassin Nathuram Godse a ‘patriot’. Talking to a news channel at Agar Malwa, Pragya Thakur said, “Nathuram Godse was a deshbhakt (patriot), he is and will remain a deshbhakt. Those calling him a terrorist should instead look at themselves. They will be given a befitting reply in this election” she said in response to a question on actor-turned-politician Kamal Hasan’s remarks that free India’s first extremist was a Hindu. She did apologize later for making this highly controversial remark.
