The Pune headquartered automobile brand, Bajaj, unwrapped it’s Bajaj Avenger Street 160 ABS for the Indian consumers on Friday. The cruiser style motorbike made for the emerging 150-160cc engine bike lovers, has already cleared it’s way to dealers. The price of the bike is set at INR 82,253 (ex-showroom Delhi) and is called the most affordable cruiser bike in India. Bajaj Auto had launched the Avenger Street 150 in 2015 at a starting price of 84,005 (ex-showroom Delhi).

The specifications include fixture of 160.6cc single cylinder engine offering 14.7 bhp and 13.5Nm peak torque with 5-speed gearbox. The power-to-weight ratio of the 160cc Avenger Street bike is set at 103.3 PS/ton which is more than that of Avenger Street 150 which had the power-to-weight ratio of 98 PS/ton.
The bike is given the retro style round headlamps with LED DRLs and indicators. As for the suspension, the rear portion of the bike is suspended on a twin shock suspension while the front on a telescopic fork. For braking system, the bike embodies 220mm single disc with single channel ABS at the front while a drum brake system at the rear. It has got blackened alloy wheels and rubberised rear grab railing for the pillion.

Though the company plans grabbing more market share in the 150-220cc bikes through the Pulsar and Avenger, the competition still lies with it’s rival Suzuki Intruder 155 cruiser which still impresses the cruiser lovers. The price of Suzuki Intruder 155 is, though, higher at a starting price of INR 1 Lakh.
