Congress spokesperson, Priyanka Chaturvedi, who was annoyed and upset with the Congress party has resigned from all the posts as well as the primary membership of the party. She announced her resignation from Congress party and her induction to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) member, Shiv Sena, on Friday. She had sent her resignation letter to the party president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday evening. Also Read,

The reason cited by Chaturvedi for her resignation is the reinstatement of the party workers who were suspended by the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC), soon after she had complained about them of misbehaving and harassing her while she was in Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura for addressing a Press Conference on Rafale Controversy.
After her resignation from the Congress party, she joined Shiv Sena, which is an ally of Congress’ rival party, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Priyanka Chaturvedi, however, addressed a press conference along with Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray and Shiv Sena’s youth wing president, Aaditya Thackeray. Chaturvedi expressed her happiness and thanked Uddhav Thackeray and his son, Aaditya Thackeray, for inducting her in the ‘Bhagwa’ party as a family member. “Happy that the Sena has taken me in as a family member. I am thankful to Uddhav ji and Aditya ji,” she said, quoted media reports.
I am absolutely overwhelmed and grateful with the love and support I have got across board from the nation in the past 3 days.— Priyanka Chaturvedi (@priyankac19) April 19, 2019
I consider myself blessed with this immense outpouring of support. Thank you to all who have been a part of this journey. pic.twitter.com/WhUYYlwHLj
Chaturvedi has, however, tweeted the resignation letter on her twitter handle. In the letter unveiled on the micro-blogging site, she mentions that she has written the resignation letter with a heavy heart. She has also written that she had joined the party 10 years back as a member of Youth Congress in Mumbai because she believed in the ideology of the party.

Chaturvedi wrote, “In the last few weeks certain things have convinced me that my services are not valued in the organisation and that I have reached the end of the road. At the same time I also feel that more time I spend in the organisation will be at cost of my own self respect and dignity.”
She has also expressed her disapproval with the reinstatement of party workers who had misbehaved, threatened and harassed her while she was addressing a press conference on Rafale controversy in Mathura a few days ago.
“What saddens me is that despite the safety, dignity, empowerment of women being promoted by the party and has been your call to action the same is not reflected in the action of some of the members of the party. A serious incident and misbehaviour against me by certain party members while I was on official duty for the party has been ignored under the guise of all hands needed for elections. This indignity to me has been the final factor to convince me to move on and focus on other things outside INC,” wrote Priyanka Chaturvedi. Also Read,
Meanwhile, she has expressed her gratitude towards the senior leaders of the party and other party members for motivating and encouraging “a rank outsider” like her to come into the system.
Notably, Priyanka Chaturvedi has dropped all her posts in the Congress party from the bio of her twitter handle. Moreover, she has also taken down her profile picture of her twitter handle where she was seen with the Congress Party Chief Rahul Gandhi.
Chaturvedi had complained about the leaders who misbehaved with her, following which, they were suspended from the party by the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC). Uttar Pradesh Congress has, however, decided to grant relief to the leaders and reinstated them following an intervention by Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Congress general secretary in-charge of Uttar Pradesh West. Also Read,

“My wife was pregnant when Patidar agitation happened, she was undergoing treatment at a hospital, I had faced problems then, I had decided then, I’ll hit this man. I have to teach him a lesson anyhow. Then again during his rally in Ahmedabad when I had gone to get medicine for my child, everything was shut down. He shuts down the roads, he shuts down Gujarat whenever he wants to, What is he? Gujarat’s hitler?” Gajjar was quoted as saying by ANI.
