The Taiwanese smartphone maker, Asus, has unveiled it’s two new smartphones, Asus ZenFone Max Shot and Asus ZenFone Max Plus M2, in Brazil. In it’s launch, the company spoke about debuting Snapdragon SiP (System in Package) which integrates RF front end, Power Management, Application Process and Audio Codec into a single semiconductor System in Package.

The highlight features of the Asus newly launched duo include 19:9 aspect ratio, Octa-Core Snapdragon SiP 1 processor and 4,000mAh battery. In terms of the price of the smartphones, the Asus ZenFone Max Shot with 3GB RAM + 32GB inbuilt memory is priced BRL 1,349 (Approx. INR 25,800) while the variant with 4GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt memory is priced BRL 1,549 (Approx. INR 29,600). The ZenFone Max Plus M2 with lone 3GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt memory is priced BRL 1,299 (Approx. INR 24,800). They are now on sale in Brazil and the company hasn’t revealed the availability in other markets. Let’s look at the specs and features of the smartphone

The Asus ZenFone Max Shot and Asus ZenFone Max Plus M2 dominate the front with a 6.26-inch Full-HD+ IPS display with screen resolution of 1080x2280px and 19:9 aspect ratio. On optics front, the ZenFone Max Shot sports a triple lens camera at the back with an LED flash. The triple lens module comprises of 12-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel secondary sensor and a 5-megapixel tertiary sensor. At the front, the device sports an 8-mgeapixel selfie snapper. When it comes to the ZenFone Max Plus M2, the device offers a dual lens camera module with 12-megapixel primary sensor and 5-megapixel secondary sensor, featuring an LED flash for low light photography. As a selfie shooter, the smartphone sports the similar 8-megapixel sensor selfie snapper like in the ZenFone Max Shot.

Under the hood, both the smartphones are powered by a 14nm Octa-Core Snapdragon SiP 1 clocked at 1.8GHz, paired with Adreno 506 GPU. The smartphones run on OS based on Android 8.1 Oreo, upgradable to Android Pie. In terms of RAM capacity, the ZenFone Max Shot comes with 3GB/4GB RAM paired with 32GB/64GB inbuilt storage respectively. On the other hand, the ZenFone Max Plus M2 comes with 3GB RAM paired with 32GB inbuilt storage. In terms of the battery power, both the smartphones pack a similar 4,000mAh battery.
