Xiaomi launches Redmi Note 7 Pro with Water-drop Notch Full HD+ Display, Snapdragon 675 and 4,000mAh Battery in India, Price and Specs to Know

The device which has a water-drop notch design with Full-HD+ display was last month teased by Xiaomi through it's social media handles. The Chinese smartphone giant, Xiaomi, launched it’s last month teased Redmi Note 7 Pro in India on Thursday. The buddy for the Pro version is the Redmi Note 7 which also was unveiled at the event alongside. The device which has a water-drop notch design with Full-HD+ display was last month teased by Xiaomi through it’s social media handles. The highlight features as speculated include the 11nm Octa Core Snapdragon 675 processor, 4GB/8GB RAM, fingerprint scanner as well as the 4,000mAh battery with turbo charging support. The price of the newly launched Redmi Note 7 Pro is set as INR 13,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt memory while the 6GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt memory would cost you INR 16,999. The color variants include Neptune Blue, Nebula Red, and Space Black. As for the availability, the smartphone will go on-sale from 12 noon March 13, through Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home Stores along with some select retailers. The Redmi Note 7 Pro dominates the front with it’s 6.3-inch Full-HD+ IPS LCD display with water-drop notch design, screen resolution of 1080x2340pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio which offers roughly 81.4% screen-to-body ratio. The device offers 2.5D curved glass with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection along with pixel density of approximately 409ppi.

On the optics front, the smartphone sports a dual lens camera module at the rear with a dual LED flash. The dual snappers at the back include a 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.79 aperture and PDAF, while a 5-megapixel secondary depth sensor. The camera module features AI Portrait 2.0 mode, AI scene detection and many other including Night mode and 4K recording. For the selfie lovers, the smartphone offers a 13-megapixel single lens selfie snapper featuring HDR mode.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro runs MIUI 10 based on Android 9.0 Pie and is powered by a 11nm Octa-Core Snapdragon 675 SoC clocked at up to 2.0GHz, paired with 4GB/6GB RAM and Adreno 612 GPU. In terms of the data storage capacity, the device offers 64GB/128GB inbuilt memory, expandable to up to 256GB using a MicroSD card. It is fuelled by a 4,000mAh battery compatible with QuickCharge 4.0 for turbo charging.

In terms of connectivity, the device offers dual 4G VoLTE SIM support, dual band WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0 LE, GPS/A-GPS, GLONASS, Infrared, FM Radio, Type C 1.0 reversible connector and 3.5mm Audio Jack. The sensors onboard include rear mounted fingerprint sensor, proximity, accelerometer, digital compass and gyroscope. The smartphone weighs 186g and measures 159.2×75.2×8.1mm.
