The Chinese smartphone brand, Gionee, which was recently in news for standing on the verge of getting bankrupt due to it’s chairman, Liu Lurong, using the company’s funds in gambling, has tried to make a comeback with it’s budget friendly smartphone, Gionee F205 Pro.
The smartphone is a ‘Pro’ upgrade version of last year launched Gionee F205. There is no huge difference in the specs and features of the Pro version when compared to the last year version except few minor changes. There is nothing much to talk about this smartphone, however, the highlight features include full view HD+ display, face unlock, fingerprint scanner, MediaTek6739WW processor and 3,000mAh battery.
The smartphone is set at the price of Rs. 6,990 and is available for purchase on Flipkart where it is available for purchase at a discount of Rs. 1,100 and other regular discounts on using credit card or debit card. The Gionee F205 Pro sports a 4.5-inch HD+ Full View 2.5D curved glass display with screen resolution of 720×1440 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. On the optics front, the smartphone sports a single lens camera with 13-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture and beauty enhancement features like panorama, HDR, portrait mode, scene detection, etc. At the front, the smartphone sports a 5-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture.
The smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and is powered by a Quad-Core MediaTek6739WW SoC clocked at up to 1.5GHz, paired with 2GB RAM. When it comes to the inbuilt storage capacity, it features 16GB inbuilt memory, expandable to up to 256GB using a MicroSD card. In terms of the battery power, the Gionee F205 Pro encompasses a 3,000mAh battery.
On the connectivity front, the device features dual 4G VoLTE enabled Micro SIM support, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, MicroUSB port and 3.5mm Audio Jack. The sensors include fingerprint sensor, face unlock, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer and digital compass.
