Huawei Nova 4 with 48-megapixel Rear Camera and Hole in the display Selfie Camera launched, Price and Specs to Know

The Chinese competitor to Samsung, Huawei, has launched it’s new smartphone, Huawei Nova 4, with triple lens camera at the back with as high as 48-megapixel primary sensor, in China on Monday. The highlight features of the smartphone include the powerful 48-megapixel primary sensor of the rear triple lens camera setup, octa-core HiSilicon Kirin chipset, 6.4-inch large display and the prominent one being the curcular hole in the display to feature the selfie camera. The price of Huawei Nova 4 with 48-megapixel primary sensor in the triple lens camera setup at the back is set at CNY 3,399 (Approx. INR 35,300). The other variant with 20-megapixel primary sensor is priced CNY 3,099 (Approx. INR 32,200). The device is available in 4-color variants viz; Black, Blue, White and Red. The Huawei Nova 4 sports a 6.4-inch Full-HD+ LCD display with screen resolution of 1080×2310 pixels, 19.25:9 aspect ratio with 86% screen-to-body ratio and pixel density of 398ppi. On the optics front, the smartphone comes in two variants when it comes to the triple lens camera setup at the back, backed with an LED flash support. One variant includes 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and the other with 20-megapixel primary sensor. The secondary lens come with 16-megapixel ultra wide lens bearing sensor with 117-degree viewing angle and f/2.2 aperture. The third camera in the setup features 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The selfie camera which comes out from the circular cutout of 4.5mm at the top left corner of the display, features 25-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture and Gyro-EIS. The front camera can also be used for face unlock feature. Under the hood, the Huawei Nova 4 runs EMUI 9.0.1 based on Android 9.0 Pie. It is powered by an Octa-Core HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC clocked at up to 2.4GHz, coupled with 8GB RAM and Adreno Mali-G72 MP12 GPU technology. The device comes with 128GB internal memory, expandable to up to 512GB using a MicroSD card. It comes with 3,750mAh non-removable battery.

On the connectivity front, the smartphone features dual 4G VoLTE SIM support, dual band WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Hotspot, Bluetooth v4.2 LE, GPS/A-GPS, Type C 1.0 reversible connector, and 3.5mm Audio Jack. Sensors onboard include rear mounted fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, proximity, ambient light, gyroscope and digital compass. It weighs 172g and the dimensions measures 157×75.1×7.8mm.
