The South Korean tech giant, Samsung, is on it’s next mission to acquire the title of being the first to launch a smartphone with an in-display hole designed to fit the selfie camera, giving more room to the undisturbed bezel-less display. Samsung has confirmed the report of Samsung’s next presentation, Samsung Galaxy A8s, which will feature in-display hole at the top left corner of the screen, apparently, to make the smartphone look like a bezel-less smartphone. The tough competitor to the South Korean tech giant is the Chinese tech giant, Huawei, which earlier on Monday announced that it will launch it’s smartphone with in-display hole on December 17.

Apparently, Samsung also revealed it’s next launch date scheduled for the Samsung Galaxy A8s as December 10 through a poster release. The poster, released on the official Weibo account of the South Korean smartphone maker, reveals the Samsung Galaxy A8s with an in-display hole at the top left corner of the display, at the backdrop of universe’s galaxy with something written in Chinese, translated to be “insight into the future” above the release date. This makes Samsung the first smartphone maker to feature a smartphone with a hole on the display, to home the selfie camera. The Samsung Galaxy A8s first surfaced in news through the announcement of it’s launch at the launch event of the Samsung Galaxy A9s and Galaxy A6s in China a few months back. And the announcement has now been given a date of release.

The Samsung Galaxy A8s is rumoured to sport a 6.39-inch display with Snapdragon 710 chipset coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage. The smartphone is also tipped of sporting a triple lens camera module with 25-megapixel primary, 5-megapixel secondary and 10-megapixel tertiary camera sensor, at the back. The smartphone is touted to sport a 24-megapixel selfie camera and 3,400mAh battery.
