Bollywood’s hottest and much loved couple, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, finally tied knot at Lake Como in Italy on November 14 and November 15. The Bollywood’s lovebirds got married in the presence of around 40 people only.
The couple announced their marriage dates on social media in October but their marriage rituals and other ceremonies were really secret as they did not allow mobile phones to the attendants. Though finally, the couple released their pictures on their Instagram handles. Congratulating messages had, since then, began pouring from Bollywood celebs and fans to the newly weds. Soon the trend ascended to keep their marriage pictures as display pictures on social media for atleast 48 hours.
6 years of relationship and now a beautiful wedding gave the lovebirds from across the world a couple goal. They are looking so beautiful that one can’t get their eyes off from their pictures. Destination marriage is a new trend which this Indian couple have followed too. Despite this fairy tale like wedding, there were some things which they missed by marrying abroad than in India and some problems which they might have faced. Here’s the highlight of it –
1. Marriage would have been on the Indian Soil
If married in India, they would have enjoyed more pleasure and satisfaction of getting married on their own motherland. This way, they would have even provided employment to the Indians rather than Italian workers who worked there to make the ceremony successful. On top of it, what else would make anyone happier then getting into a holy wedding bond on it’s own native country.
2. Indian Fans Could Not See Them Live
The couple did not share the pictures of their wedding ceremony and other rituals at the ceremony on realtime basis, which made their fans a bit upset. They did a very secretive marriage in Italy, did not invite a lot of people from B-town and even did not allow clicking pictures as it will get viral which they didn’t want. The fans missed the live glimpse of the couple since it was in Italy.
3. The Visa Issue for the Guests
The Indian attendants at DeepVeer’s wedding would have, sure, faced the visa issue due to short term notice of their marriage abroad. Though the dates were publicly announced by the couple on their social media handles, their decision to call less number of people must have created the last minute haphazard for visa.
4. Wedding Expenditure in Euro than Rupees
Since the wedding was in Italy and not in India, the expenses that the couple had to borne was in Euro and not in Indian Rupees. If they would have chosen an Indian place to marry at, the couple would have helped the amount of expenditure stay in the country which would have boosted the rupee to some extent. We never know, this would have helped in setting up a trend to marry in India and not abroad.
5. Travel Time Issue for Guests
This is another drawback of getting married abroad as the Indian attendants had to arrange their travel well in advance. We are sure this would have made the attendants li’l uncomfortable.
6. Bollywood Personalities were not Invited
Many celebs from B-town were not invited by the couple at their marriage. Instead they will be giving a reception to Bollywood celebrities in Mumbai on 28 November. Katrina Kaif in ‘Coffee with Karan’ stated that she knew she won’t be invited but she wanted to attend the marriage and wear good clothes. She wished she could have attended it, had she be invited. Karan Johar, on the other hand, also stated that he is not invited by DeepVeer.
So, these were our take on the disadvantages of Deepika and Ranveer marrying in Italy and not in India. As soon as the couple revealed their marriage dates, a wave of excitement ran through the Bollywood and among the fans which is still trending. After returning from Italy, the couple has decided to host 2 reception ceremonies in November. On 21 November, the reception is in Bengaluru for family and friends while our Bollywood celebrities will enjoy DeepVeer’s reception on 28 November in Mumbai itself. Well happiness and excitement waves are still going-on in the fans for their reception party. We wish this couple a very happy married life ahead.
