Nokia 106 (2018) launched, Price and Specs may make the Consumers look for a Better Option?

The feature phone, Nokia 106 (2018) is the newer version of 2013 year launched Nokia 106. The HMD Global has unveiled a new feature phone under it’s owned brand, Nokia, which flaunts it’s contoured design and an extended battery support. The feature phone, Nokia 106 (2018) is the newer version of 2013 year launched Nokia 106. The highlight feature is it’s dual SIM support and a claimed battery backup of 21 days when it comes to stand-by mode. Another highlight feature of the Nokia 106 (2018) is it’s processor which is the MediaTek MT6261D. The price of the feature phone is revealed to be RUB 1,590 (Approx. INR 1,700) which is in Russian currency. The Indian price and availability is yet not disclosed. When it comes to it’s competencies against it’s competitions, it falls back as the Karbonn and Micromax or a Samsung feature phones may already be at a stronger level than this phone. Never to forget, the Jiophone is already giving a tough competition to all the existing feature phones at close or above INR 1,500 price point. The 4G compatibility along with video and net surfing has already distracted a mass consumers towards Jiophone which will definitely be a bottleneck for Nokia to woo the customers to buy it’s new presentation in feature phone category. The Nokia 106 (2018) sports a 1.8-inch QQVGA TFT display with screen resolution of 160x120pixels. It allows 1,200 contact storing capacity and 500 SMS storing capacity. As said above, the phone is powered by a MediaTek MT6261D paired with 4MB RAM along with 4MB inbuilt storage capacity. This again may let this phone down as the storage is much lesser than the requirement from this phone. It packs a 800mAh battery which the company claims to offer 15-hours of talktime on a single charge while 21 hours of stand-by. In terms of connectivity, the Nokia 106 (2018) features dual SIM support, FM Radio, MicroUSB port and 3.5mm Audio Jack. The phone also comes pre-loaded with something called as try-and-buy games like Danger Dash, Nitro Racing, Tetris, etc. It measures 111.15×49.5×14.4mm.
